Please be advised that this is not DR Philpotts' website, although it was isnpired by, and is dedicated to him. Dr Philpott passed on in July of 2009 and is dearly missed by all of us who worked with him to promote and advance the use of biomagnets in the medical field.
William H. Philpott, M.D. had specialty training and practice in psychiatry, neurology, electroencephalography, nutrition, environmental medicine and toxicology. He was a founding member of the Academy of Orthomolecular Psychiatry. He is a fellow of the Orthomolecular Psychiatric Society and the Society of Environmental Medicine and Toxicology.
Between 1970 and 1975, he did a research project searching for the causes of major mental illnesses and degenerative diseases, which resulted in the publication of the books, Brain Allergies and Victory Over Diabetes (no longer in print but may be found "used" on Amazon.com). Retiring in 1990 after 40 years of medical practice, he engaged in research as a member of an Institutional Review Board, which followed strict FDA guidelines. In this capacity, he guided physicians and gathered data on the treatment and prevention of degenerative diseases using magnetic therapy.
The Linus Pauling Award was presented to William H. Philpott, M.D. in 1998 by the Orthomolecular Health Society, "for his scientific leadership and scholarship spanning the entire history of Orthomolecular medicine".
It was Dr. Philpotts' dream to see biomagnets commonly prescribed by doctors as a non-invasive approach to disease management and reversal. Arizona Unipole Magnetics continues to promote biomagnets hoping that some day Dr Philpotts' dream will come true.
